Walter's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Walter's Story...
Walter is one good looking sweet-boy treeing walker hound. He is around 3-4 years old. Walter came to us from a high kill shelter some time ago. He is GREAT with other dogs, and enjoyed outings at local dog parks. He bonds deeply to his people, and can be anxious in new situations. Walter is protective of his people and home so would LOVE a home outside of a busy city. Adult home only. If you love hounds, he may be your guy. He is a medium energy guy – is crate trained and housebroken.
(Breed experience is a plus!)
.Please email adopt@rocketdogrescue.org to find out more about Walter. (PB)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Walter, a San Francisco Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
