Meet Little Jada!

Jada is an adorable Chihuahua puppy who is looking for a forever home. We know a perfect family is going to fall in love with this sweetheart.

Only a puppy, Jada was found in a cold creek in Plano. As you can imagine - She was scared of everything - scared of the creek around her and scared of the humans who were there to rescue her. But rescue her they did! We are so grateful to this family because without their intervention, Jada would not be alive today! Jada did not have a collar or a microchip, and this family was unable to find her owners. They then contacted CRT and we were thrilled to bring this sweet heart into our program.

Jada is a 5 month old puppy and she has puppy energy. Jada loves to run around and play. She loves playing with all kinds of dog toys and is friendly to every dog that she meets. She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home. Jada enjoys being in her crate, which has made her crate training quite easy. Her potty training is going very well too. She loves to burrow under blankets and likes to snuggle with her foster parents as well as her doggie friends. Jada is a good eater and is very food motivated.

Due to her scary creek experience, Jada still has a little bit of apprehension around new things. When we first got her, Jada had a hard time trusting her new humans. She is now in the hands a great foster home where she is beginning to show much progress. She is slowly learning how to trust. She is hesitant when approached and when being touched, but we are working with her and she has shown much improvement. Because of her apprehension of being touched, Jada will need a family who is willing to give the effort and patience to work with her in helping her to trust and adjust to a new home. Due to Jada's shy personality, we recommend that she be adopted into an all adult home or a home with older children (13 and older). We believe she would be nervous around younger children, although she may grow out of this as she begins to feel safe and secure in her new family.

Jada is about 6 pounds and is fully grown. She has such a sweet spirit and we know she is going to grow up to be a fabulous member of her forever family. There are many years of joy and love ahead for her.

Jada is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
