Facts about Patches

  • Breed: Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier Mix
  • Color: White - With Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Patches arrived at the Rescue Ranch very depressed and unresponsive. We are not sure what he has gone through but seemed like he had given up. Two weeks later he is now playing with the other dogs here, going for walks, and starting to show affection and wagging. He is a very sweet little guy who will flourish in the right home when he understands he is safe and loved. Children would not be recommended for this dog as he needs a calming atmosphere. Person(s) who could spend lots of time with him. Activity level would be 4 out of 10. Not sure about cats at this point.
Please complete our online application at www.embracesociety.ca under adopt. Embrace has an average of 40 dogs at one time. Approved adopters are welcome to visit our Rescue Ranch in Blaine, WA to meet suitable dogs based on their application and home study. We are a Canadian rescue and adopt only to the Vancouver BC areas. Our adoption fee is 425.00 Canadian. Please note: we do not allow any breeding of any of our dogs. All dogs will be spayed and neutered.

About Embrace a Discarded Animal Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Embrace a Discarded Animal Society recieved its charitable status in 2012.

We have five passionate volunteers directors and a president, who are dedicated to the society. We all work very hard to achieve the following goals:
Our intent is not only to cover the cost of the rescued animals under Embrace a Discarded Animal Society's umbrella, but also to assist other respectful charitable rescue groups with the cost of spay and neuter.

As we grow financially and with individuals volunteering in our society, we wish to start educational programs in schools and to raise public awareness of the real life conditions of unwanted pets in North America

Come Meet Our Pets...

Thank you so much for your kind interest.

Feel free to contact us at your convenience so we can answer any of your questions or send you an adoption application.

Our Adoption Process...

Before the meet and greet we will ask you to fill out a thorough adoption application. After reviewing and approving the application, we will ask to meet you and your family in your home.

If we establish suitability (that means that we feel that your home will be wonderful for the dog and that the dog will be a cherished family member), you will be allowed to meet the dog. If all goes well, we will transport the dog to your home, or, you will be able to pick up the dog from its foster family.

Prior to the dog being transferred to you, a legal adoption contract will be signed (must be 21 years or older).

The adoption fee. For our adult dogs is $425.00 and adopters will be responsible for the full payment. For our adult cats its 149.00 and kittens are 199.00

All of our dogs must be indoor animals, to be cherished and loved pets only.

WE WILL NOT ALLOW OUR PETS TO BE CHAINED OR LEFT OUTSIDE ALONE AND UNATTENDED.
