  • Breed: German Shepherd Dog Mix
  • Color: Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Katana is a sweet, loving female German Shepherd who is about 2 1/2 years old. She loves people and has previously lived with older children. She has a blue eye that we've had checked out by an ophthalmologist to make sure it wasn't uncomfortable or problematic for her, either now or in the future. It's neither! And Katana runs like the wind, plays hard, and doesn't show any indication of having just one good eye! Being young, she's still quite playful but is learning some more basic obedience such as waiting at gates and doors and leash manners, which she learns very quickly. When she wants attention, she'll pick up her favorite toy and just sit and look at you until you just have to play with her; she's really quite irresistible!

If you are interested in meeting Katana, please fill out our adoption questionnaire which you can find at http://www.scgsr.org/adoption/aq/.

Katana is Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and comes with a collar, all included in the adoption fee.

About Second Chance German Shepherd Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Second Chance German Shepherd Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run, foster-based German Shepherd Dog rescue serving the greater Bay Area and Sacramento/Roseville regions of Northern California. Our primary focus is rescuing German Shepherd Dogs from life threatening situations in overcrowded shelters where they are in danger of being put to sleep. We adopt our dogs into loving, responsible permanent homes. German Shepherd Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, and receive basic veterinary care while they await placement in their permanent homes. We work with area shelters and other rescue groups to develop a network of support for German Shepherd Dogs in need.
