Katana's Info...

Katana's Story...
Katana is a sweet, loving female German Shepherd who is about 2.5 years old. She loves people and has previously lived with older children. She has been good with the cats in her fosterer home. She has a blue eye that we've had checked out by an ophthalmologist to make sure it wasn't uncomfortable or problematic for her, either now or in the future. It's neither! And Katana runs like the wind, plays hard, and doesn't show any indication of having just one good eye! Being young, she's still quite playful but is learning some more basic obedience such as waiting at gates and doors and leash manners, which she learns very quickly. When she wants attention, she'll pick up her favorite toy and just sits and looks at you until you just have to play with her; she's really quite irresistible!

If you are interested in meeting Katana, please fill out our adoption questionnaire which you can find at http://www.scgsr.org/adoption/aq/.

Katana is Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and comes with a collar, all included in the adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katana, a Walnut Creek German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Walnut Creek, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Walnut Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
