Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We have seen some amazing transformations, but Tilly's has been one of the most remarkable: This 10 month old Border Collie mix puppy came to us an untrained bundle of energy but adapted to life with her foster family in a matter of days. Instead of avoiding people she started coming when her foster mom called. She learned to use the doggy door and go potty outside, not inside. She learned how to play with her doggy foster brother and not just try to "herd" him. Instead of running around the house she settled down on her doggy bed in the kitchen. Instead of moving Tilly to another foster home as planned, her foster family asked to keep her over the holidays. She became part of their family, so we know she is ready for her forever family.
Tilly currently weighs about 20 pounds. Although her exact breed is unknown and her age is estimated, we do know Tilly is super smart and very athletic. She is good with children and all other dogs, and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Her foster mom says "Tilly has the best personality. She is so playful--she is great with our dog and she is amazing with kids as well. She sleeps with one of the kids ALL night. Goes to bed when we do, gets up when we are up." Tilly would do best with an active family or person that enjoys daily walks or jogs, and frequent visits to the dog park. Another dog to play with and a fenced-in back yard would be ideal. Typical of any Border Collie, Tilly needs daily exercise and mental stimulation, and is not a good fit for someone who is away for long hours.
Tilly's adoption fee of $300 includes vet exam, heartworm test, DHAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, Bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm preventative, and spay.
