Happy New Year !

A new year always brings new resolutions and surprises....well here was our new surprise....Wendy.

Wendy came into our rescue from a family who realized a new baby and a new puppy are not always the mix you hope it would be. Since the rescue doesn't rescue babies, only dogs, the rescue took Wendy in.

A long ride home showed the foster moms just how great and quiet Wendy was for her car ride. A visit to the vet, a lot of hugs and kisses from the staff there and Wendy was off to her foster home. At the foster home, Wendy was introduced to Dusty, a cat who loves dogs and Champ, a dog who loves other dogs. Let the play time begin.

Wendy is just learning housebreaking but learning very quickly. A total love bug who loves to play but has an off-switch to take an occasional nap. Wendy will sit for her treats and sit calmly while her food bowl is placed in front of her...what a little lady.

Wendy is a Chocolate Lab/German Short hair Pointer mix, 3.5 months old, 16 pounds, had her first series of puppy shots and micro chipped.
