Facts about Eric

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Eric is an 11-year-old neutered male, has claws, and weighs just over 11 pounds. In his former home, Eric was an indoor/outdoor cat, who enjoyed spending his outdoor time with the feral cat colony living in his backyard (which his former dad supported and managed under the HSPPR Trap/Neuter/Release program).

Eric has a calming personality, loves his human (and will follow them from room to room). He is a gentleman, but will play when you have a good toy. We call Eric our 'Tom Selleck' of cats, because he is so ruggedly handsome. (We're not sure what the real Tom Selleck would think, but we hope he would approve of our Eric). Eric has befriended several shy cats that have come into the program and helped them acclimate and find their new home. Now we hope it is Eric's turn. Eric is looking forward to meeting you so please do visit him soon!

Come Meet Our Pets...

You'll find us out and about at adoption fairs and community events all over Colorado Springs! We have a physical building in Manitou Springs where we are able to bring pets for meetings, and some reside while awaiting their new families. We also create a monthly poster featuring our available pets which are displayed at locations throughout the community - please let us know if you can put our available pets flyer at your workplace. We update our community posters and pet listings monthly. For the most up-to-date info, please visit our website at www.safeplacepets.org

Our Adoption Process...

Please check out our available pets and contact us to let us know which one(s) interest you. We'll arrange a site visit to your home and a meet-and-greet with your prospective pet once we have had a phone chat to determine if our rescue pet is a good fit for you and you for him/her. If you and the pet decide it's true love, we'll have you fill out an adoption contract and ask for an adoption donation (rather than a fee). A certificate of adoption is mailed to you once the process is complete.
