If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Pre-Qualification Form. ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis. We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.
Mathis is a very special boy! He's deaf, however he has learned hand signals from his foster dad like "out", "kennel", "good boy", "sit". He's a smart dog and a quick learner! He is young and likes to explore. He loves playing with other dogs and loves to chase cats. He doesn't hurt the cats or pin them down, he just enjoys chasing them. He is very good with kids, however being 60 pounds with his energy it's recommended he be in a home with older children and not toddlers. He also isn't a dog that would do well in an apartment.
Mathis is crate trained, and loves to cuddle with his humans. He does have sensitive skin, and requires a special diet and weekly baths. A fence is required, and experience with deaf dogs is preferred. His adoptive family must have time, patience and dedication to this lovebug. Mathis is 60 pounds of love seeking a forever home that appreciates how special he is!!
