Emma's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Emma's Story...
Emma is a 4 year old spayed female basset/doxie mix that was owner surrendered with her buddy Jack. This darling girl is house and kennel trained and gets along great with everyone including kids and other dogs. Emma has excellent manners and knows sit, stay, come, fetch, shake, and down. We have put this sweet girl on a low-cal food to help get her to a healthy weight. If you are looking for a low energy loyal best friend that walks nicely on her leash, stop in and spend some time with Emma.

If you want to apply for Emma, please visit the rescue between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emma, a Meridian Dachshund/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Basset Hound for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Dachshund/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Basset Hound breeders who help with Dachshund/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
