My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello everyone! My name is Albert. I am a happy healthy boy, about 6 years old, and weighing in at around 32 pounds. I was picked up originally as a stray, so no one knows my past but me, and I’m not telling. I spent four months at a local shelter, and when no one adopted me, Midwest BREW stepped in and gave me a second chance. Since then I have been in a foster home, living the good life! But I am ready to find my forever family and my forever home.
At first I was nervous around people, especially meeting new people. I am doing much better, and learned that most people don’t want to hurt me- they just want to pet me and cuddle! I follow my foster mom wherever she goes. I am curious, and want to make sure I know where she is at all times. It doesn’t mean I have separation anxiety though; I am very good in my crate and stay inside quietly whenever she is not home.
My foster mom thinks I will do good with kids 12 and older. I don’t really like some younger kids I met who bother me when I’m napping, or pull my tail, or try to pick me up! What I do like is walking! I love, love, love my walks! Foster mom drives me to a nearby park for a daily walk, so I am a good car rider too. I do get excited and a little protective of my foster family, and bark at other dogs when I see them. Let’s say that I’m a little selective of the dogs that I want to be friends with.
After a good walk, I mostly just like to nap. I am housetrained, and haven’t had a single accident since I got to my foster home. I might have been a stray, but I know my manners! I am also a really good snuggler! Do you like to relax in the evening and read or watch TV? I am right there beside you! There is nothing better in the world than snuggling up to my humans at the end of a good day. If you think I might be the guy for you, please contact Midwest BREW and let them know! I know my forever family is out there!
