Keebler's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Keebler's Story...
UPDATE: Keebler was tragically attacked in his foster home and is currently recovering from bite wounds. His medical bills are almost $5,000. If you are able to donate to help defray the cost of his medical care, please visit our website at http://www.OnMyWayHomeRescue.com.

This 10 year old boy came into rescue after being an outside dog for years. Once in rescue, we discovered he was mostly blind (although he can see some shapes), which was something his previous family never even noticed. He is a sweet boy who loves other sweet dogs and we ordered a Muffins Halo (a harness to help blind dogs to navigate the world without bumping into objects) to help him navigate his new surroundings. His adoption fee is $250 and an application can be completed at http://www.onmywayhomerescue.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keebler, a Henderson Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Henderson, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Henderson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Henderson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Henderson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Henderson paves the way for another one to be saved.
