Sugar's Story...
Sugar is a beautiful 1 year old blue fawn pitbull. We HAD to name her sugar because she is so sweet!!!!! This girl is the complete package: great with other dogs and kids. She is a big girl weighing in at about 58 pounds. She has not been tested with cats yet but I'm sure she will do just fine based on her wonderful personality. She does pull some on the leash but that is due to the fact that she was kenneled up at the shelter all of the time:( She was rescued from Spaulding County in Griffin Georgia. The shelter wasn't even going to try and find rescue for her…simply because she's a pitbull…I happened to be calling to rescue another dog and they told me about her so I said I'd save her as well. Her adoption fee of $250 covers her spay, microchip and all vaccinations. An adoption application and home visit are necessary prior to adoption. If you would like to meet this sweet girl please call Jill at 815-919-2587 or email at thedoglover@att.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Plainfield American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
