My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mona: 2 year old, red, spayed female, natural ears and docked tail, 11" 10 lbs., shots up-to-date, micro chipped. Rescued from shelter.

Lovely Mona has weaned her puppies and is ready for her forever home! She is a sweet girl who is full of energy. Mona loves to play, rough and tumble if her playmate is up for it. She gets along with all dogs and only chases cats if they run. Mona is quite athletic, can climb and jump quite high. That athletic ability combined with a streak of mischief can get her into trouble on occasion. She is always very sorry when scolded or squirted with a spray bottle and comes right up to tell you so. Mona is very loving. If we sit down, she is the first dog to land in a lap. All she wants is to be scratched and told she is a good girl. Mona was spoiled a bit in her prior life I think. If crated or confined away from her people she will complain bitterly for about 5 - 10 minutes. For this reason we are not recommending her for apartment living. She would do well in a home with children of almost any age to keep her busy and out of trouble. She needs room to run or regular walks to burn off energy. She loves to chase balls and does well at the dog park. A dog friend that loves to rough house (any size) would be great for her.

Note: Mona is located in Sacramento, CA, and we will not fly her. In cabin with Adopter only.
