My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wooley Bear. 8-10 month old male Silver-Seal Lynxpoint Ragdoll.

Wooley Bear came to us along with three other adorable juvenile kitties; maybe we should call them juvenile delinquent kitties because they are certainly having a rowdy time in their foster home. This gang of young cats has so much fun playing that their foster mom can hear them thundering around upstairs. When that happens their foster mother refers to them, not as cats, but as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Seriously, though, its is a wonderful thing to see. When they first arrived in foster care, they were so scared they were hissing at everything; even themselves! They were just upset and afraid after being dumped in a shelter and then taken on a long car drive to a strange house. In short order, however, they came out of their shells and are now extraordinarily loving and attracted to humans.

Wooley Bear was the last of the kitties to decide his foster home was a safe place. He is now constantly under foot and hanging out with his people. Literally under foot. He loves feet! If you have bare feet, he will come and nibble at and lick your toes. And he likes to sit on top of your feet while you are working; unless he's sitting beside you, of course. He is polite about the computer work. He leaves that to his human slaves and doesn't attempt to do any typing by himself.

We suspect Wooley Bear is going to be a big boy. He is the largest of the four and his feet are very big for his size. If he grows into those feet, he is going to be a sizable boy. There is no guarantee as to how large he will be, but he is already the size of a normal adult cat, and this breed continues to grow and mature up to age three. Wooley Bear is already getting a fairly big coat so some regular combing will be required. He will love that, though. Anything to get some attention!

Although he's still shy of strange noises and people he doesn't know, once he gets to know you, Wooley Bear can be picked up, snuggled, and turned over for tummy rubs and kisses. His foster mom likes to snuggle him like a baby. He is getting used to the big dog in the house. Like his siblings, he tends to hiss at strange cats, but it is expected that with proper introduction, he will get along with other resident cats. He might be OK with older children once he gets used to the activity level of the house.

Wooley Bear comes with the standard Ragdoll package: beautiful body and head structure, lovely blue eyes, soft coat and, of course, the "feature" of the big feet.

Because he is so active, it has been hard to get good photos of him. We will continue trying but recommend you don't wait around to see better ones. It's more than likely he will be adopted before he ever slows down enough to give us a photo shoot.
