Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID
Meet Kai the Protector! She will protect you from the cold by cuddling on the couch and in bed. She will protect you from the hair dryer-but only if you need protection! She will "leave it" if you ask her to. The villain vacuum cleaner is also a sworn enemy, but she will "go lay down" when asked. This just proves that Kai is willing and able to please! She has some great manners in place including sit, stay, lay down, leave it, etc. She does need some work on her leash skills - she is just so excited to explore the great outdoors! With a wiggle and a grin Kai has settled perfectly into her Fuzzy Pawz Rescue foster home.
Kai is a slender 1 year old Chocolate Lab/Pit mix who is full of wiggles and love. She is a wonderful greeter and will bring you a toy and weave in and out of your legs while wiggling like crazy (Watch out for that tail, though)! She understands which toys are dog toys and digs in enthusiastically to the toy basket. She plays tug-o-war like a champ but will go lay down with a bone or chew toy for some quiet time. She also enjoys chewing on plastic bottles.
Kai gets along great with other dogs, but is a bit too much for the older dog of the house. He has told her more than once to leave him alone...and it only took her a few days to understand that he really doesn't want to play. She would do great with a younger dog and has a 2 year old boxer/Pit mix to play with in her foster home and they do great together.
Because of her high energy level, kids older than 6 would be recommended as she could knock them down. Kai is house-trained and will stand at the back door to go out. It has been reported that she has some separation anxiety, so some kennel training would be great for when she needs to be left alone. Her foster mom works from home so we haven’t seen this issue.
Kai is an all-around great dog who aims to please. She listens well and loves her people.
If you feel you can offer sweet, fun-loving Kai the forever loving home that she deserves please simply fill out an adoption application with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/
