My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Skippy. I’m a 3-year-old neutered male Jack Russell/Dachshund mix. I weigh about 13 pounds.

As you can see, I’m pretty unique looking, with my long Dachshund body and my unmistakable Jack Russell markings. But that’s not all I have to offer. I’m sweet, spunky, and fun-loving! I’m super outgoing and I love making new friends, both humans and canines.

My story is short, but not so sweet. I was brought to the shelter as an owner surrender, which means that my family didn’t want me anymore. I bet you’re wondering why they gave me up. Your guess is as good as mine, really. Oh well, their loss!

After a couple of weeks at the shelter, CageFree got me out of there, brought me to their facility, and offered to find me a new home. Of course, I accepted! I’m having tons of fun here, playing and running around with my friends. But you know what would be even better? Finding a forever home of my own!
