Kara's Story...
Princess is a 1.5 yr old Boxer/Great Dane mix who was born into the B.A.R.C. program following a puppy mill seizure in December 2006. Princess is spayed and will be updated on her vaccines prior to adoption. She gets along well with other dogs after proper introduction and walks well using a gentle leader. She currently weighs 69 lbs and will probably gain a few more as she finishes growing. Princess is being fostered by Stephanie and Kevin in Jacksonville..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kara, a Gainesville Boxer/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Great Dane for sale in Gainesville, or seeking a Boxer/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Gainesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gainesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gainesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Great Dane breeders who help with Boxer/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gainesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
