DECLAN's Story...
DECLAN (pronounced Deck-lan)
Declan is a male German Shepherd cross, approximately one year old. He came to us from a remote community after his owner became concerned he would be shot. Declan is a large handsome guy with a gentle personality. Declan is great with his foster mom's other dog (MGSR alumni Cali) but we don't yet know how he would be with other dogs.

Declan is now available for adoption. To inquire about, or arrange to meet him, please email our adoption coordinator at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DECLAN, a Winnipeg German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Winnipeg, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Winnipeg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winnipeg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winnipeg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winnipeg paves the way for another one to be saved.
