Nike's Story...
HI! My name is Nike! I have a brother and a sister (Patches and Bee). They are three times as big as I am! It's not fair! My foster mom says that I definitely make up for it in personality, though. I am the boss and love to get my way! I like other cats as well as dogs, too. I have lots of energy and no fear! My mom calls me a little Gremlin because I hate to get wet. I arrived at Whiskers Rescue with my mom and two siblings as well as with five other cats. I had really gross fleas, but after many baths, which I hated, I am now clean and fluffy! I like being clean, even if I didn't like the water. I am in a foster home right now, but I would love to meet you! I can't wait until I am one of only a few pets so I can receive some much needed attention! With so many pets its hard to get some good lovin'! Take me home so we can spend time together.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nike, a Clarkston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Clarkston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Clarkston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clarkston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clarkston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clarkston paves the way for another one to be saved.
