Bear-In foster's Story...
Hello my name is Bear! I'm a very big boy that is full of love. I'm a big boy that wants to explore so I wouldn't be happy in an apartment or small rental...I need room to run! I was brought in with my brother Bubba and we have been together for life, so the shelter is hoping to get us into the same home in the future as well since we have never been separated and are a lot more scared when apart. Unfortunately I am also the "special needs" of us two since I have heartworm...but have no fear! The shelter pays for treatment of heartworm, I just have to be kept calm for 30 days after my injection. We are not required to go to the same home, but the shelter is trying hard for us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear-In foster, a South Haven Chow Chow/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in South Haven, or seeking a Chow Chow/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in South Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Chow Chow/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
