Mongo's Story...
Meet Mongo!
Mongo is a blue Pit with a bit of white on his paws. He is thin and weighs 42 lbs but should weigh about 55 lbs. and about a year old. He is learning his house manners and getting used to his crate. He does well with older children and female dogs. He loves to sit by his paralyzed foster sister and is VERY cuddly with his humans. He is shy around men. Maybe some abuse in his past. He loves to play and is a very handsome boy! As with all of our adoptable dogs, he would need to be introduced to current pets in your household.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mongo, a Virginia Beach American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
