Hi there! My name is Orlando. I came to the rescue with my buddy Dallas. I am a very handsome orange tabby and Dallas has silky black fur. We are both very friendly and affectionate. Our estimated birth year is 2012, so we're still young and full of life. We were given up by our owner to Detroit Animal Control, then transferred to the rescue. We're happily living in foster care now, playing with toys, getting love and attention and all the care we need to find lifelong, loving homes of our own. We both use the litterbox like good boys. We're neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to go. Adoption fee: $60. Adopt a pair: $90. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 60 days of free pet insurance.

From noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Adoption event dates for 2016: February 20, March 5, March 19, April 2, April 16, May 7, May 21, June 4, June 18, July 2, July 16, August 6, August 20, September 3, September 17, October 1, October 15, November 5, November 19, December 3 and December 17.
Sunday, February 28: Adoption Event at PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills. From noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event) on the last Sunday of every month. Event dates for 2016: February 28, (no event in March due to holiday), April 24, May 22, June 26, July 24, August 28, September 25, October 23, November 27 and December 18.
Adoption Process: Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
