Manchas's Story...
Meet Manchas! We have many nicknames for him, but he responds to "Manny" and "Lover Boy." He is a 6-year-old Lhasa Apso who is ready to be BFF's with you!! He came to DHA when his owners moved and could not take him with them. If you couldn't already tell, Manny is blind. When he first came to us, he was incredibly shy and nervous, but has made such great strides! He is full of energy, a total snuggle bug, and plays great with other dogs. He may be a little excited at first, but once you say his name and you start playing, he's all yours! Won’t you be the one to give him the loving home he deserves?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Manchas, a Wilmington Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
