Sparky's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Sparky's Story...
Sparky was an Owner Surrender to our rescue, after 8 years of living with his family, due to no fault of his own He is a precious little 5-lbs pure bred LH Chihuahua who is now looking for his furever home. As with all Chihuahuas he loves to burrow in your bed and sleep with you, or sit on your lap while you work on the computer or watch telly!

His ideal home is a work from home/part-time away from home situation. He would like another doggy companion with whom to play - he is very playful and is seems more like a 2 year old versus an 8 year old middle aged lad!

Sparky is neutered, has had a full blood panel work up (that came back stellar) and has had a nice refreshing dental. He is also micro-chipped.

If you are interested in meeting Sparky in person, please complete our Adoption Application as the first step in our process: http://ocpoundhounds.com/generaladoptionapplication.pdf

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparky, a Escondido Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Escondido, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Escondido.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Escondido already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Escondido breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Escondido paves the way for another one to be saved.
