My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ralph is an 8 year old Redbone Coonhound mix that came to K9 Kindness from Missouri, where he was found on the side of the road with another hound who had been hit by a car and killed.

Ralph’s a very sweet and mellow boy and will relax on the couch all day with you. Since he was likely used to being outdoors or caged most of the time before he came to K9 Kindness, he is still working on house training, but has shown much improvement! He does not do well with any type of punishment, but responds very well to positive reinforcement, so a home that will go slow and be patient with him is a must.

Ralph is extremely submissive and gets along with everyone he meets, including cats and other dogs. He would do best in a home with another dog to teach him the ropes. He is currently in a foster home with 3 cats and another dog and is doing great! He thrives at the dog park and loves meeting new people, but is also content hanging around the house all day. He would make a great companion for any family and can't wait to find his own forever home!

Ralph’s adoption fee is $125. Adopters must live within 150 miles or a 3 hour drive of the Quad City area.
