My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joseph is an adorable, deaf and feisty, ten-year-old, 25-pound, male Jack Russell Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Joseph is all terrier, and is looking for an experienced terrier-loving home. He loves his person, but takes a moment to warm up. He can be snappy when he’s not pleased. He’s very smart, knows how to sit on command and takes treats gently. He is extremely food-motivated; he loves his treats and he loves to go on walks. He is perfectly housebroken.

Joseph warms up to most people, but prefers women to men, small dogs to big dogs.

He is a deaf senior with a heart murmur and a bit of weakness in his back end. He is otherwise healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. His adoption fee of $75 benefits the rescued pets of Oak Park Animal Care League. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact Gabrielle caninemanager@animalcareleague.org or 708-848-8155.
To meet and possibly adopt Jospeh or any of the other dogs, rabbits and cats at the Animal Care League shelter, please visit at 1011 Garfield, Oak Park, Illinois, Monday, Thursday and Friday from noon to 7:00 p.m. or Saturday & Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
