Virgil's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Virgil's Story...
Virgil is a good ol’ boy of a friendly, gentle, quiet and affectionate, 12-year-old, 94-pound, male Treeing Walker Coonhound looking for a loving guardian.

Virgil gets along great with other dogs and people of all ages including children. We don’t know if he’s ever met a cat. He’s a spry older gentleman looking for a soft bed to hang out on and some people to snuggle. He is such a sweet boy; full of kisses and tail wags for everyone he meets.

He is housebroken and takes treats very gently from your fingers. He also loves his walks.

To meet and possibly adopt Virgil, please contact Samantha at palsplace1@hotmail.com or 773-615-9864. He is a healthy senior, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. His adoption fee of $100 benefits the Pals Place Rescue Group.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Virgil, a Chicago Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
