My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lil Bambluezle
Born 10/1/15
Male Russian Blue Mix

Bambluezle must be adopted with his companion and friend, Lil Orphan Annie also posted on the website.

I got my name from my foster mom because I’m blue, but got “bamboozled” during my first weeks of life, so my full name is Lil Bambluezle. My foster mom calls me Blue for short.

No, nobody is claiming that I am a purebred cat, although I look just like a Russian Blue, with intense green eyes and the softest blue coat.

I wish I could thank the person who found me abandoned in a part of Sacramento where my chances were unthinkably bad. My benefactor had the good sense to take me to a vet’s office. There I was warmed up, cleaned up—they say I had ticks all around my eyes--and treated for dehydration. (It’s amazing what good vet care can do for you when you are down and out.)

Eventually, I was taken home by my foster mom who works at the vet clinic, and life has been grand ever since. I am the love of my foster mom who took me to her home and gave me love and attention. It was there I met Orphan Annie who was a very tiny kitten without her mom. I took her under my paw and licked and cleaned her and gave her the affection she didn't have after losing her mom at such a young age. I really need to go home with her so that we can spend our days together and I can continue to keep her as my companion. We really love each other.

I was very shy at first but with the help of my foster mom I am getting to know how special it is to have the love of human touch, petting, and attention. While I am still a little reserved, I purr a lot to show my appreciation. I am getting to really enjoy lap time. Now that I’m ready to go to a permanent home, I want to make sure it’s with someone who understands that I had a hard start and still need to learn how to be loved. Of course, Annie is giving me plenty of confidence because she is so outgoing.

Lil Blue and Orphan Annie are fostered in Davis, CA
