Dotty's Story...
I’m a bit of a home body. I am one of the first cats to come and greet you. I’ll rub my silky long fur up against your cheek and look to you for approval. Black is beautiful. If you are looking for a companion on lonely days I don’t know how you could turn me away.

All cats adopted from Animal Care and Adoption Center must be spayed or neutered before heading to their new homes. The spay fee is $55 and the neuter fee is $45.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dotty, a Texarkana Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Texarkana, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Texarkana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Texarkana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Texarkana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Texarkana paves the way for another one to be saved.
