Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cheeks is a beautiful, sweet and people-friendly, five-year-old, 62-pound, female Pit Bull Terrier looking for a loving guardian.
Cheeks was rescued three years from a pit bull fighting ring. This poor girl was used as a bait dog. She lost an eye from that horrible abuse.
Despite her poor beginning in life, she is full of kisses and tail wags. She is housebroken, well-trained and knows the commands: sit, down and paw. She also takes treats enthusiastically and gently.
Cheeks is great on walks, car rides and in the home. She doesn’t even need to be crated. Cheeks loves frolicking with rope toys and playing tug of war.
While Cheeks loves people, she would be best as the one and only pet in the home.
For the perfect adopter, her adoption fee of $295 will be sponsored by the volunteers of Almost Home Foundation. And, because Cheeks is so adored, she even has a pet sitter on call in Roselle any time, one is needed.
Cheeks is very healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. To meet and possibly foster or adopt her, please contact Debbie at dszenda@gmail.com or 847-630-3913. She is currently kenneled in Roselle, Illinois.
