My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Barney but my foster Dad likes to call me Mr. Rubble. I don’t mind because I think the Flintstones were probably a pretty cool cartoon in the stone ages when he was a kid. I am a really loveable guy! I walk around with my tail in the air and waging all of the time. When I get really happy I have a little shake in my body along with my tail.
I am completely potty-trained (not one accident since I came to live with my foster Mom). I don’t really give any signs that I have to go out I just know that when Mom says it’s time to head outside, I do and I take care of business. Speaking of outside, that is really a great place. I love to run back and forth and all around the fenced in yard. I also love to walk the perimeter and just smell and smell and smell. I really, really, really love to go on walks! I have a hard time standing still while my foster Mom puts the harness on me and I start to cry just a little while she takes forever getting her shoes and coat on. Foster Mom says I am an excellent walker. I never pull and while I like to sniff and mark the trees occasionally, I stay right by her side.
I like to play with soft toys, squeakers, and balls. Sometimes, I even play fetch. I know how to sit on command (although if it’s a really good treat, it may take me a couple requests). My foster Mom says I have the perfect amount of energy. I play and get the zoomies but I settle down on my favorite blanket on the couch and just sleep too. I love cuddling with these humans and must be touching them when I lie next to them.
I do have some aggressive tendencies around other dogs especially when it comes to food or my favorite humans, so I would probably do best as an only dog. My forever family will also need to be very careful with me around open doors. I am very eager to see what is going on when a door is open and I move extremely fast.
I am crate-trained however I have proven myself trustworthy in a very short amount of time and foster Mom lets me have the run of the first floor. I am not destructive at all and don’t have potty accidents. Yeah me!
So, if you are looking for a very handsome red-headed boy that enjoys long walks, runs in the yard, playing with toys, and snuggling close on those cold winter nights, I am your man. Please give my foster Mom a call. She would love to give you even more details and set up a time for you to meet me in person.
