Pixie's Story...
Pretty Pixie is a 2 1/2 year old beautiful torti that would just love a great home of her own. Pixie came to us from our Newark facility after she was picked up as a stray. This gorgeous girl spent 6 months in our Newark facility, shmoozing with the staff and visitors and making friends, but no one offered to give her home for some reason. She hopped on the transport van and headed down south to us at Popcorn Park and is hoping that a change of atmosphere will get her noticed. Pixie is a ridiculously outgoing and friendly young lady has no shyness about her. She came bopping out of her carrier when she arrived and crawled into the first lap that she saw, excited to make new friends. She is very mushy, affectionate and lovable, and she gets along beautifully with everyone she meets including other cats and people of all ages. Pixie would transition so easily into a good home and is eager to start interviewing potential families. If you can offer Pixie the lifetime of happiness that she deserves, come in and meet our pretty Pixie! File#25882 1/6/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
