Dilly's Story...
Dilly is a female domestic short haired solid black bundle of awesome! Her birthdate is 9/4/15. She is small for her age, but her personality is huge! Her name is officially Dilly, but I, her foster mom, call her Dilly Bear. I have fostered many kittens & they are all wonderful, but Dilly Bear is above & beyond special. She loves to play & loves to love! I sometimes call her my *Little Parrot* because if I am even close to her she jumps through the air so she can perch on my shoulder or on my back. If I am looking in the other direction it sometimes makes me jump, but I am getting used to it. She simply wants to be with her human as much as possible & wants to be as close as she can get. She also loves to snuggle under the covers at night & wants to sleep curled up next to her human. She truly could not be any more loving.

In addition to Dilly*s overwhelming amount of love she has to share, she is hysterical to watch. She will give you hours of entertainment. If she has a toy she will start to growl if any other kitties even come near. She is in no way aggressive, as I can touch her while growling & she purrs at the same time! She has the loudest purr I have ever heard! She is used to many other cats & my 3 dogs. If another pet runs up to her, she immediately goes into the Halloween cat pose & her fur flares out. Then she does the crab walk sideways. It is adorable. As soon as she realizes it*s a pet she knows, she immediately calms & acts all *cool* as if to say, *I knew it was you. I wasn*t afraid!* It is beyond adorable. She will then cuddle right up to whichever pet just startled her.

Dilly needs a very special home. An ideal adopter for her would be someone that wants a lot of attention from their kitty. She also would do best with a playmate.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dilly, a North Highlands Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Highlands, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in North Highlands.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Highlands already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Highlands breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Highlands paves the way for another one to be saved.
