This lively girl is Daisy, a 9-month-old, 30-pound mix of Pug and Basset Hound. She’s a sweet and affectionate dog, loves to snuggle, clean in the house, good in the car, and listens well. Daisy has not lived with children but was fine with older ones who came to visit. She was very reluctantly given up due to her issue with food towards the older dog in the home, so she needs to go to a home where she will be the only dog. A human can easily take food or a bone out of her mouth, but she becomes possessive towards other dogs of any food in the area, even an empty dog food bag or food on the counter. Being a young dog, Daisy will need lots of exercise to channel her energy, something that perhaps she did not get enough of before. Under the expert care of Kiko’s favourite veterinarian for delicate surgeries, Daisy underwent a procedure to correct a cherry eye condition that she had in one eye. The protruding gland was carefully tucked back into place, not removed, and she will not require any special care or eye drops. If you’re interested in meeting Daisy, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website.
