found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
This gorgeous 3-year-old boy is Jackson. We don’t know much about his early life. What we do know is he was abandoned at a boarding facility and for 10 months sat in a kennel with no interaction. No playing, no stimulation, no love. Jackson has now decompressed in a foster home, learned to be a dog again, and is ready for his forever home.
Jackson is an active boy, and therefore needs an active house to complement his energy. He absolutely loves to play and never seems to tire of it, whether it be fetch or tug of war. He must be making up for the time he lost. He does very well with the drop command and is ready to go again. He is also an awesome mid-air catcher, so while we haven't had a chance to test it, we believe he would be great for frisbee!
This smart boy knows basic commands and is most easily bribed with toys, so his foster dad is working on him obeying them all when no toys are present. He also knows high / low five. He is potty trained and crate trained but would rather be enjoying the world with you so may take a couple minutes to settle down. Despite his high energy level he now understands when it's time to calm down. He will curl up with you when you sit down for the evening and snuggle up.
Ideally, in Jackson’s mind, he would be the only dog just due to his high energy level. He is also suitable for another dog as long as it could handle Jackson's playfulness. He has not been thoroughly cat tested but due to his interest in animals outside we don’t think it’s a good match. He has no problem with people or kids, as long as they don’t mind him occasionally bouncing up for kisses and attention. He does well on a leash and listens very well while off leash.
Jackson is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on preventatives. He is being fostered in Columbia MO.
