Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jax was hanging around a run down neighborhood in Georgia for about a week when the people got tired of him getting in their trash and threw rocks at him to scare him away. Eventually, someone finally called the Animal Control officer.
One of the neighbors thought he was dumped or dropped off there, another neighbor thought that someone moved out and left him behind, there are different stories on how he ended up in that place.
Jax was skinny and very hungry when he came to the shelter but has already gained weight.
He is very friendly, but was initially frightened if you threw a toy or ball to him. He thought you were trying to hit him like the people that threw rocks at him. Once he settled in and learned that no one was trying to hurt him he began to love toys and loves to play ball. He has a happy personality and runs like a Greyhound. He weighs about 45-50 lbs. We think that Jax would be an excellent family dog. If you would like to adopt this boy please contact Peggy Stern at 908-246-6451
