Tessa's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Sweet little Tessa is a 5 year old female Maltese that came to Pixie Mamas from a high kill shelter in the Mid West.  She is very sweet and affectionate - still a playful girl too!  She loves treats and gets so excited when its meal time or treat time!

Tessa likes other dogs, she loves people and wants to be with them wherever they are.  She is good on a leash but is not too thrilled with a crate.  She seems to be housetrained but please expect accidents with any new dog until they establish a routine.  Tessa is ok with cats - she will join the chase though when another dog is getting rowdy!

Tessa is spayed, microchipped, up to date with vaccines andnow ready to go to her new home!  She just had a dental and is feeling so much better! Please fill out an application online if you are interested in this little girl!

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa, a Buffalo Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Buffalo, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
