Betsy's Story...

Please meet Betsy Boo!  She is a rescue that came from North Carolina - a VERY high kill gassing shelter.  Local rescues pulled over 30 dogs from this awful place and Betsy was one of the lucky ones!  We think she is a 3 year old Cairn mix - maybe with dachshund??  She is very loooong!

Betsy is super sweet - she definitley seems grateful to be here!  She loves to be outside and will go out every time you ask her!  She seems to be house trained but may have accidents until she gets into a good routine.  She is leash trained too but pulls - she is strong and eager to go places!! Betsy is also crate trained!  She likes the other dogs in her foster home, both big and small and does not have any issues with the cat.  She is good with kids too!  Betsy would be a good family dog or a nice companion for somone who wants some love!  She would love to  go one walks and car rides!!  Betsy is loving her new life in NY - we hope you consider this girl for part of your family!

Betsy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, worm/flea treated and tested neg for heartworm!  Her adoption fee is $250 - please apply online if you are interested in adopting Betsy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betsy, a Buffalo Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Buffalo, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
