You would never know that Lexus is 12! (so we're told). He's active, fun loving, playful and gets along really well. He was a pitiful soul when brought to the vet-not well taken care of. Now he's doing just great! Housebroken, great w/ other dogs. Loved and enjoying being a house dog w/ a chance to run around in the backyard for the first time in his life probably! Loves children! Please contact us if you want to love and take care of him for the rest of his life! 705-7711 or adoptions@blountcountyhumanesociety.org

About Blount County Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

The Blount County Humane Society is a No-Kill organization whose goal is to build a No-Kill shelter in Blount County TN.

Our Adoption Process...

We require that our adoption contract be filled out and signed, then you will be contacted by the adoption manager or other Humane Society Volunteer. We will check your personal and veterinarian references, and then visit your home to determine if the accommodations are appropriate and in the best interest of the pet you want to adopt. All of the pets we adopt out are up to date on their shots, and are spayed or neutered. Dogs are heartworm negative and on preventative medicine. Cats are feline leukemia and aids negative. We strive to adopt out healthy and well balanced animals, but from time to time if health problems exist, medications are needed, or there are behavioral issues, this will be fully disclosed prior to adopion.
