Facts about Phantom

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Phantom is the quiet lover! Phantom and sister Beverly are young cats growing rapidly. He is special in that he seeks you out just to get and to give love. Phantom would rather rub against your legs and have a quiet moment than race back and forth (most times). He likes to grab onto his toys - one picture is of him and his carrot toy and the other of his favorite shoes. He has a brown tabby patch over one eye and a tabby nose and tail. As he grows he is becoming quite a large guy with a very long tail proudly held up high! He gets along well with his sister Beverlyand all the other cat; he loves to have his face "washed" by the older cats. This is one special big love of a cat. Meet them at Howl to the Chief!, 733 8th St SE, Wash DC 20003, during our adoption event Sundays from noon - 3 pm. Please contact the foster home for more information. We only adopt young kittens in pairs, or with another young kitten. Foster - Charlotte at 202-341-9089

About Capital Cats

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of private households who rescue and find homes for cats and kittens abandoned at several shelters, most of which have the high kill rate typical of large metropolitan areas. We also do street rescue of placeable cats and kittens and cooperate with local feral rescuers as time and space permit. We do it to save lives.

Our Adoption Process...

Prospective adopters fill in an application form at the adoption event. We do landlord and veterinary reference checks before proceeding to the next stage, which involves a home visit where the cat or kitten will be living. The cat or kitten is spayed or neutered before placement; cost is included in the adoption fee (currently $80). The contract requires that the cat or kitten be indoors-only and that it cannot be declawed. In addition, we do not place single kittens unless the household has another cat or kitten who needs a friend; otherwise it has to be two kittens together.
