Hi my name is Misty, I'm a five-month-old 11 pound Dachshund mix. I was rescued off the kill list at our local shelter. I'm a very sweet little cuddle bug. I love, love, love, to cuddle and to be next to you. My foster mom says I'm an exceptional puppy and I have the softest fur in the world. I am a bit shy when I meet strangers but is long as they are gentle with me I warm up really quickly. I love to cuddle and play and just be a regular puppy. I don't bark much and I'm very calm for my age. I really need a calm family who will love me forever and will not give me away or let me end up back in the shelter. It was a very traumatic experience for me. I get along well with other dogs and don't bother the cats here. I'm learning to use the doggie door and I would do well as a lapdog or as a family dog but the children must be over the age of eight. I truly yearn to find a family that I can bond with so I can become a little more secure and be the truly precious puppy I was meant to be.
