Meet Ranger! He shows perfect house manners--unless there is chicken left on the kitchen counter. His foster mom laughs because Ranger will counter surf for chicken, but not for veggies!
Ranger is a Velcro Springer. He loves to be with people and bask in their attention However, he is a gentleman. If you are on the couch or the bed, he will wait for an invitation to join you. On the couch, he will lie on the far end and look at you, hoping that you will ask him to join you. When you do, he will wiggle happily to your end of the couch!
This cuddly guy prefers to be touching his people if possible. He is easygoing around other dogs. Though he doesn't live with a cat in his foster home, Ranger didn't pay any attention to the resident cat at the shelter he came from.
Ranger is housetrained, and he goes to the door when he needs to go out. He listens well, rarely barks, and earned the run of his foster home house within two days. Ranger knows basic commands: Sit, Come, No, Wait. He takes treats nicely and enjoys meeting new people.
Although Ranger is missing some toes (and has some arthritis as a result), he will retrieve if you like a game of fetch. He likes short walks, and he loves car rides.
Ranger is curious and loveable, and he really wants to please. If you are interested in this sweet, well-mannered chap, contact his case managers at the e-mail address below.
Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.
Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Ranger.
