Bring joy, love and laughter into your home! Meet Joy, who recently came to the Coronado Animal Care Facility as a stray. This fluffy girl is sure to capture your heart with her happy spirit. Joy is a ten-year-old female Poodle mix weighing 13 pounds.
Although Joy is visually impaired, her disability does not keep her from being in touch with her humans. She is confident and curious as she tunes into your voice and immediately responds, using your verbal cues to keep her on track. This happy little girl is friendly with other dogs and everyone she meets. Joy also rides well in a car. She loves ambling through the yard and exploring her surroundings, but her favorite place is in your arms. Joy will surely let you know how important you are as she keeps you warm and feeling loved.
Due to her visual impairment, a human pal with a softer voice and patience would be best for Joy. Once part of your world and feeling safe, Joy will become a very special companion. Come visit this sweet girl soon, she will melt your heart!
The Coronado Animal Care Facility is open daily 9:00am to 4:00pm (except holidays). It is located at 1395 First Street, at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.
If you are interested in an adoption, you must first complete a dog adoption application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado dog adoption counselor. You may complete an application at the Coronado ACF, the online dog adoption application at pawsofcoronado.org or email dogadoptions@pawsofcoronado.org.
Please note: Although we are currently accepting adoption applications for Joy, she will not be able to go to her forever home until approximately January 22nd.
