Facts about Rocco

  • Breed: Boston Terrier Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Rocco is a 2yr young (Sept birthday), neutered male, current on vaccines, hw negative, 50lbs,and a Boston Terrier mix. He loves to cuddle with his human companion after he has had his run and play time. He has attended basic obedience training; walks well on leash, and off leash RUNS like the WIND ! HE is a very HAPPY boy, loves to play fetch and enjoys squeaky toys. Rocco LOVES being in a home with companions; unfamiliar dogs are not easy for him to trust and make him uncomfortable. An experienced handler would be best for ROCCO; continued reinforcement of his behavior training is recommended. His preference for sharing a home would be a furry female companion OR he would love being the only cherished companion. He is an awesome young boy with LOTS of energy so we strongly recommend no children under the age of 10. Rocco rides very well in the car, and once he has had his run time and play time, he will relax and cuddle, and he is quite the guard dog too, he will make sure you are aware of an unfamiliar sound or stranger. Rocco’s training has helped him come a LONG way in improving his behavior.... he would not be a dog park dog as too many canines running in every direction can create high stress in him. We are seeking someone committed to helping him continue his obedience training and good manners.

Our goals: offer resources to REDUCE the overpopulation of cats and dogs - thus reducing euthanizing, PROVIDE educational resources to assist with "responsible pet ownership" and RAISE FUNDS to help with necessary vetting for the pets we rescue, rehabilitate and re-home.

Our adoptions are never finalized until we are 100% assured there is a perfect match for both the applicant and the dog being adopted. Sending us the adoption application is the first step. You will find the application online (on the Adopt Me page at A home visit and reference checks are also made prior to any adoption.
