Pumpkin's Story...
"Pumpkin" is an adorable 3-monoth old female kitten who was surrendered by her owner on December 24, 2015 along with "Captain" (who is likely her brother) and several other kitties who shared her previous home. "Pumpkin" has an orange tabby short smooth coat with white markings on her chest/paws, a long ringed tail, and a beautiful kitten face with a pink nose and large copper-colored eyes. This precious baby girl is full of playful kitten mischief and is cute as a button! She and "Captain" are sharing a cage, and it became apparent during their photo session that "Pumpkin" was the proverbial 'little sister' who loved to tease her big brother :) At one point, she decided that his long tail was the perfect plaything and grabbed it in her cute little paws :) :) They are very bonded with each other, and we'd love to see them adopted as a pair <3

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pumpkin, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
