Meet Mikey! This guy may look kind of funny to strangers, but once you get to know him his sweet personality is all you notice. Mikey was found outside of Walmart, left to fend for himself. His affinity for trash and people food leads us to believe he may have been wandering for a little while before he was brought to the shelter. Although shy initially, he really came out of his shell in a weekend foster home. Mikey loves to play with small dogs (even if they don't really want to play with him!) and, most of all, loves to snuggle with his foster mom. He will happily lay in your lap while you go about your work on the computer or be your wingman for that Netflix marathon! Mikey has also picked up his house-training quickly, knows sit, and is being kennel-trained. Although he is not a huge fan of the kennel, he is happier with a piece of laundry that smells like his foster mom to keep him comfortable. Fortunately, his love of people food will make additional training a breeze!
At around 3 years old, Mikey weighs in just over 7lbs and could still use a little fattening up. His laid back demeanor would make him a wonderful companion for just about any mature household. Although intimidated by larger dogs, Mikey would make a wonderful playmate for a four-legged friend more similar in size to himself! Small children can be a little scary to this guy as well, so bigger, gentler kids would be ideal. After such a rough life, all this guy really wants is a loving home to call his own. Won't you give him the family he deserves?
All Dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and given a physical by a veterinarian prior to adoption.
