My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Belvedere is a calm, loving and extremely loyal, eight-year-old, 59-pound, male, white am staff terrier with cropped ears looking for a loving guardian.

Someone cropped Mr. B’s ears to make him look tough, but he is actually so cuddly, lovable and extremely affectionate. He is a low energy, sensitive soul who is happy to hang out on a dog bed and have you pet and massage him … forever! He LOVES massage.

Mr. Belvedere knows the commands sit and down and takes treats ever so gently from your fingers. He was found stray in Oak Park, Illinois, and is already housebroken and quietly crate-trained.

He is looking for a home as the one and only pet. He loves going on walks and would be best in a home with teenagers and adults. He is protective of those he loves, so he needs a dog-savvy family.
He is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm-tested and micro-chipped. To meet and possibly adopt Mr. Belvedere, please visit the Animal Care League shelter at 1011 Garfield, Oak Park, Illinois, Monday, Thursday & Friday from noon to 7:00 p.m. or Saturday & Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. His adoption fee of $75 benefits the rescued pets of the Animal Care League.
To ask specific questions about Mr. Belvedere or any of the other dogs at Animal Care League, please contact Gabrielle at caninemanager@animalcareleague.org or 708-848-8155.
