BIO:
My name is Sally and I am an energetic dachshund mix! I love to play, play, and play! My ideal family will be active and patient. I have extremely high amounts of energy and need to be exercised regularly; a fenced yard is preferred. I’m very intelligent and learn quickly. I am crate and housetrained as well as leash trained. When going on walks, I get very excited by my surroundings and want to explore. I am also very vocal, especially when I meet new people, hear weird noises, and get excited which is pretty much all the time! Because I can be loud an apartment or condo is not an ideal home for me. I love the company of other dogs and play well with dogs of all sizes. I’m also a dachshund so of course I love to snuggle under the blankets too!. I LOVE kids and people in general and there isn’t a hand or face that I wouldn’t love to kiss! If you think you can handle my energy and love talking dogs than I am the perfect companion for you!

About Furever Dachshund Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Furever Dachshund Rescue (FDR) is a non-profit organization comprised 100% of volunteers located throughout the United States working together to rescue Dachshunds in need of Furever Homes. We are dedicated to the following:

To rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abandoned, neglected and stray dachshunds.
To educated people to succeed as dachshund owners to provide a loving, nurturing home for these wonderful furbabies.
Teach awareness of pet overpopulation, importance of spaying/neutering, vaccinations, euthanasia, puppy mills and the consequences of purchasing as opposed to adopting from a rescue or shelter.
Additional education regarding breed-specific traits, medical issues, fostering, etc.
Respect fellow volunteers within FDR and in the rescue community. Show appreciation for all who volunteer their time and effort to promote teamwork and camaraderie. As a non-paid volunteer group, we know time is valuable and appreciate others who have big hearts and want to help dachshunds in need.

Our Adoption Process...

FDR has a 3 step application process to ensure that all of our dachshunds will only have happiness in their future. We will require a vet reference (if applicable), personal references and a home visit.

We do have a contract and adoption fees in place to cover veterinary expenses and shelter fees. Visit our webiste for more details.

Once your application has been approved, we have a wonderful volunteer transport system that we are creating to help your dachshund and your family unite! If you would like to be involved as a volunteer transporter, visit our website! It only takes a few hours on a saturday, mileage is tax-deductible and you will be making a huge difference in a dachshunds life.
