Facts about Kiki

  • Breed: German Shepherd Dog
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Kiki is between 1-2 years old and was picked up as a stray in New Mexico. The ideal home would have a backyard with plenty of room to run and play in with a 6 foot fence to keep her safe and a dog door would be nice for her to come and go easily but not necessary. When Kiki is with other dogs she is an active player going non-stop, but when she is the only dog she is calm and wants to be by your side giving you lots of love. Kiki would thrive best as an only dog with someone that would like to enroll her in classes and help her mind grow. Kiki has good house manners and is still very much a puppy which is why she is crate trained. We are asking that her new home have no children and someone that loves to cuddle and gets lots of love from their dog. Kiki is great with women and sadly not real comfortable with men but if you are the patience gentle soul willing to work with her this can be overcomed, She loves car rides and walks in the park, exploring new areas and seeing the sites. Kiki is a sweet, sensitive little girl and wants a warm person to love. Kiki has lived with a cat and was just fine with her

Our Adoption Process...

Adopting a German Shepherd Rescue of the Rockies Dog

We would like to thank you for visiting our website and considering one of our adoptable dogs to become your new family member. All of our dogs have been tossed aside for various reasons and our goal is to find them one last home where they can live out the rest of their lives with love and happiness. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we hope to be able to rescue many dogs every year. We place our dogs in a daycare facility so we can observe their social behavior and then into a foster home to learn house manners and teach them basic obedience. After we get to know our dogs we interview each candidate to find the right home that will fit each dog’s personality and needs. We will provide the necessary vet care, bring them up-to-date on vaccinations as well as spay or neuter our dogs. We will work with our rescue dogs that need a little help to trust and love people again, meanwhile improving their social behavior. We will stay involved and be there for each adopted dog for the duration of its life.

The adoption fee for our dogs is $300, which includes a veterinary heath examination, up-to-date vaccinations, a micro-chip, dogs will be spayed or neutered, they will come with a dog collar, and ID tag. Senior dog adoption fees will be posted separately for each dog.

If you see a dog on our website that you would like to meet, please fill out the Adoption Application and one of our volunteers will contact you.
