Erin (Pom)'s Story...
Hi my name is Erin. I'm a longhair papillon/Sheltie mix. I'm about a year old. I was picked up as a stray by the shelter people, nobody came to claim me. I'm tad shy but I a friendly. Naps are the best and snuggles. I'm looking for my "forever family." I hope I find it, so I'm never on the streets again.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Erin (Pom), a Harrisonburg Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
